Stock and Accounting Controller

Are you detail-oriented and skilled in managing both inventory control and accounting processes? Do you have a sharp eye for accuracy and a strong understanding of stock movements and their financial impact? If you’re experienced in reconciling physical stock with financial records, supporting procurement and accounting teams, and ensuring accuracy across departments, Tech Store Group is looking for you!
Responsibilities
- Manage all stock transactions, including transfers, adjustments, returns, and write-offs
- Control physical stock reconciliation with accounting records on a regular basis to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate and control stock movements with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of inventory entries in the ERP/accounting system
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes with proper inventory valuation and reporting
- Investigate and resolve stock variances and discrepancies across departments
- Assist in physical inventory counts and cycle counts, and analyze results for reporting and corrective action
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and inventory policies
- Generate regular stock and inventory accounting reports, including aging, turnover, and valuation
- Coordinate closely with the accounting department to match stock-related transactions with financial entries, including invoice approvals, accruals, and cost allocations
- Control budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
- Coordinate with the procurement department to validate purchase orders, goods received notes and supplier invoices.
- Analyze and report cost-saving opportunities and procurement performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, accounting and cost control
- Solid understanding of accounting principles related to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo is a plus) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data handling
- Familiarity with audit procedures and internal control systems
- Good communication skills
