Accounting Manager

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Lead and supervise the accounting team, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and budgets to support management decision-making
- Ensure compliance with Lebanese tax regulations, audits, and other statutory requirements
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to reconcile stock and financial transactions and perform the necessary adjustment on stock based on inventory reports.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic planning and business growth
- Generate and present accurate financial reports, forecasts, and KPI dashboards to senior management
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders as required
- Coordinate with external third parties such as NSSF representative, external auditor and provide all necessary data to complete the related official declarations
- Train, supervise and evaluate accounting staff performance.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), Lebanese regulations and financial reporting requirements
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo is a plus) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of taxation, compliance, and audit processes
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic or French is an asset
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
