Project Coordinator Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Coordinator Engineer is responsible for coordinating and following up on electrical, solar, low current, CCTV, and alarm system projects to ensure proper execution according to approved plans, timelines, technical requirements, and company standards. The role includes coordinating between the project manager, technical team, technicians, suppliers, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth project workflow, proper documentation, timely delivery, and effective communication during all project stages.
Responsibilities
- • Coordinate daily project activities related to electrical, solar, low current, CCTV, and alarm system works.
- • Follow up with site teams to ensure work progress is aligned with the approved project schedule and company requirements.
- • Coordinate between the Project Manager, Technical Manager, engineers, technicians, procurement, warehouse, and clients.
- • Review project drawings, BOQ, material requests, technical documents, and site requirements with the concerned team.
- • Follow up on material availability, delivery schedules, and site needs to avoid project delays.
- • Prepare and update project schedules, work plans, progress reports, and site follow-up reports.
- • Track project progress, pending tasks, site issues, and required actions, and report them to the Project Manager.
- • Coordinate site visits, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- • Ensure that project documents, approvals, reports, testing records, and handover files are properly organized and updated.
- • Follow up with technicians and subcontractors to ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
- • Communicate with clients regarding project updates, site coordination, access requirements, and pending issues when needed.
- • Support the Project Manager in preparing project status reports, meeting notes, corrective actions, and delivery plans.
- • Monitor project risks, delays, missing materials, or technical obstacles and escalate them to the Project Manager.
- • Ensure that all project activities are performed according to safety requirements, company procedures, and quality standards.
- • Assist in closing projects by ensuring all documents, remarks, testing results, and handover requirements are completed.
Qualifications
- REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in project coordination, electrical works, solar systems, low current, CCTV, alarm systems, or contracting projects.
- • Good knowledge of project execution, site coordination, technical drawings, BOQ, material requests, and project documentation.
- • Ability to read electrical drawings, single line diagrams, layouts, BOQ, datasheets, and technical manuals.
- • Strong coordination, follow-up, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and follow up on deadlines.
- • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook; ERP/Odoo experience is a plus.
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- • Fluency in Arabic and English; French is an advantage.
